As the Official AC, Heating, and Plumbing Partner of the Dallas Cowboys, On Time Experts had the honor of teaming up with the organization for a moment that reminded us why we show up every day. This is a story about community, gratitude, and using our partnership to lift up someone who has given so much to others.
This fall, Cowboys first-round draft pick Tyler Booker traded his jersey for an On Time Experts uniform and joined our crew disguised as a brand-new HVAC technician. His mission: help us surprise U.S. Army veteran Tammy Turner, a mother of five, grandmother, and lifelong Cowboys fan whose home had been struggling with failing AC and heating systems.
Tammy believed she had scheduled a routine service appointment. She welcomed “the new tech” into her home, showed him around, and talked with him like she would with any of our team members. She had no idea her technician was an NFL player – or that her entire comfort system was about to be replaced at no cost.
When Tyler revealed his identity at the end of the visit, Tammy was completely stunned. She told him he reminded her of one of her sons, and the two connected instantly. They continued talking long after the reveal, sharing stories and laughter. Tyler gifted her signed jerseys and thanked her personally for her service. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
With Tyler’s help, On Time Experts installed two brand-new HVAC systems, restoring comfort, safety, and peace of mind for Tammy and her family. For a home that had been fighting unreliable AC and heat for years, the upgrade was truly life-changing.
