Before the summer heat hits us here in Dallas, here are 4 things you can do to get your outdoor air conditioning unit ready.

    1. Clear Shrubs

Take a walk around your outdoor unit to make sure the shrubs are cut and that there are no vines going through it. This will help the unit get the proper amount of air.

    2. Careful with the Weed Eater

If you decide to use a weed eater to trim grass, make sure the unit isn’t running. If you’re mowing or weed eating and the unit is on, it’s going to suck up all the grass clippings. The unit will become dirty and will run longer and harder than it should.

    3. Use Ant Repellant

You might want to put some ant repellant around your unit. Ants like to get up in the contactor to stay warm and fuzzy.

    4. Call the On Time Experts

When we come out for maintenance before the summer season, we will take the top off the outdoor unit and clean all the leaves out. We wash it from the inside out.

Follow steps one through four to ensure a comfortable, cool summer. Call us at 469-336-3435.
