Is Your Toilet Clogged And Overflowing?

Follow these four steps!

  • Don’t flush again!
This first step is more of a “what not to-do.” If your toilet is clogged, do not flush it again. That will only cause more water to fill the bowl and overflow onto your floor.
  • Try a Plunger.
If you have a standard plunger from the hardware store, you can try to unclog it that way. Just be careful – those things can cause a mess. You don’t want to get more water everywhere.
  • Turn off the water.
If plunging doesn’t work, make sure you turn off the water to the toilet to keep it from overflowing more.
  • Call a professional.
Beyond trying a plunger, there’s not much more you can do to get a toilet unclogged. If it remains clogged, it’s time to call a professional. Take it from me, you don’t want to break your toilet – I’ve been there!
